Many of the stars you see when you look up in our sky at night are stars in our 'Milky Way'.
But our 'Solar System' within our 'Milky Way' galaxy is just a very small part of the universe!
How can we get our minds around the size of our Galaxy the 'Milky Way' or even more the universe?
NASA have produced two very helpful explanations,
1. simple pictorial illustration below,
2. a video below explaining the distances in 'light years' over our universe, very well produced and explained, and
3. Peter Edwards of Durham University explains the measurements and distances in our universe - enjoy (6:43)
